This is the diary of a webmaster - walking the interesting path of seeing a number of websites from their initial inception through to an established place in the web-world.
This journey covers many of the highlights and pitfalls of the journey - including choice of subject and content, choice of domain name, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Google Adsense, Amazon Associates, back-link generation, Google Referral Programme, the Google Sandbox theory, Analytics tools and many more.
Hopefully this site will help you avoid similar mistakes, or simply provide amusement and a good read. It may calm you down if you have a new website and suddenly your google rankings plummet, or maybe you'll find inspiration and new ideas for your websites.

Nick Gibbs is a software architect and author, who has been working in the IT industry for the past 8 years. He currently a Technical Architect for a leading provider of message scanning services, working on image-scanning software (C++/Linux) and websites and webservices (C#.NET). During the summmer months you'll find him on tour with his rock-band Bleeding Hearts and in a dim and murky past you'll find his published works in the fields of Ab initio Protein Folding, Molecular Dynamics and BSE/CJD.
